Animoto Project on Energy

Right now we are making an Animoto video based on energy. The types of energy we need for our videos are, Mechanical energy, Thermal energy, and Kinetic energy. Yesterday we took pictures of all the types of energy we need for our videos. We also did the final touches. Mrs. Rahlfs watched all of the videos. She said we all did a great job on our Animoto videos.

Exploring Apps on the iPads

Students are exploring rounding while we are having fun using App tutor. Long multiplication was another App we explored. iPads are a fun way to learn in math class.

Rounding and multiplying with App tutor

App tutor is a game to show students how to practice rounding, multiplying, and other math skills. App tutor lets you show your work when you need to by using the scratch pad. When you need them, hints are allowed. When you answer wrong you are not allowed to move on. AppTutor is great for 4th grade math students.

Catapults

Today we began constructing the catapult. Catapult building is hard because it needs a lot of effort! Catapult building is awesome because it takes a lot of materials.
We are doing this because we are learning about force.

2 by 2 multiplication

Today I learned 2 by 2 multiplication. First you multiply the first two digit number by the second two digit number's ones place.Then multiply the first digits whole number to the second digits 10's place. Next
you add the two products together to get the final answer. That's 2 by 2 multiplication. By: Darby,Kenzie,Avery,and Cham :)

Welcome to our class blog!

Technology is an amazing tool once you know how to use it.  We are all trying to learn new ways to use technology to enhance learning.  As teacher, I realize in many ways students know more than I do. One of my goals is to use technology in new ways every day in the classroom.  Students need to learn how to create digital products to display learning.  

The class blog will be a way for students to summarize our learning.  I look forward to seeing what the students can do with the blog. Hopefully, this will be my only post!
